About the Role
- An established Australian Regulatory Technology (RegTech) client is seeking an experienced PHP Back-End Engineer to join their team. This rapidly expanding company is enhancing its customer offerings and requires dedicated expertise in back-end development.
- The successful candidate will be reporting to the technology lead in Melbourne, Australia.
- Provide end-to-end delivery of new back-end features.
- Part of an Agile team, contributing to various stages of the project lifecycle.

- PHP 7.3 & PHP 8.2
- Nginx & php-fpm
- Laravel 5.8 & Laravel 10.10
- MariaDB 10.x
- Angular SPA front end
- PHP API back end
- AWS Virtual machine compute
- Git version control
- Figma UI/UX.
Requirements
- Expertise in the Laravel framework.
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good query writing skills (essential).
- Expertise in PHP for secure API development.
- Knowledge of token-based authentication and SPA integration.
- Experience with Git (pull requests, merging, branching).
- Agile methodology proficiency (Scrum/Kanban).
- Strong relationship-building skills in remote settings.
- Adaptability in unstructured work environment.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of the inner workings of the Laravel framework (e.g., how it handles
sessions, encryption/decryption, etc.). - Development experience on AWS (EC2).
- Knowledge of RegTech or governance, risk, and compliance domains.
Work Details
- Shift: Monday to Friday: 6:00am- 3:00pm or 7:00am- 4:00pm PH Time; depending on business needs
- Location: Makati | *Work from Home Until Further Notice
- Status: Open to Full time employment or Contract set-up
