About the role

• As a Software Manual QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
• You will be responsible for meticulously testing software applications and systems to identify defects, bugs, and inconsistencies, ensuring they meet our quality standards before release.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough manual testing procedures to identify software defects and verify functionality across various platforms and environments.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and design specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to understand project requirements and timelines accurately.
• Document and report defects, errors, and issues encountered during testing, ensuring clear communication and facilitating timely resolution.
• Actively participate in team meetings, reviews, and discussions to provide valuable feedback on product quality, usability, and performance.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, testing methodologies, and emerging technologies to continually enhance testing processes and techniques.
• Ensure testing process coverage, allowing for immediate testing initiation, encompassing manual testing, writing test scripts, building testing capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Perform end-to-end testing to ensure seamless functionality and user experience across the software ecosystem.
• Familiarity with setting up end-to-end automated testing to facilitate efficient testing processes and transition from manual testing to automated testing seamlessly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in manual software testing, preferably in a QA role within a software development environment.
• Strong grasp of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
• Proficient in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Work Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday: 6:00am- 3:00pm or 7:00am- 4:00pm PH Time; depending on business needs
• Location: Makati | *Work from Home Until Further Notice
• Status: Full time employment
